SEGE has developed specific expertise in the fields of health, healthcare services and the pharmaceutical sector. In these areas, we work with many industry players: healthcare companies, care centers, pharmaceutical companies, research centers, patient associations and trade associations.
We observe in the field and analyze the behaviors and habits of patients and stakeholders across the health value chain. We study business practices and processes to design and develop effective tools and services that can contribute to the success of companies and organizations, as well as to the satisfaction of users and consumers.
On the user’s side
Users’ real needs are the foundation of the entire design process
User-centered design, whether aimed at professional operators, patients or consumers, seeks to simplify every interaction opportunity (touchpoint) between person and service. Taking the user’s perspective makes it possible to identify their needs, abilities and limitations in order to design smooth and natural experiences.
In real life, users make services and products their own in personal ways. This is why we observe them in the field, uncovering insights that we translate into effective solutions and test in real-use situations.

Perceptions, data, trends
The importance of imagery in the experience of health
A deeply rooted and constantly evolving imagery forms the background to all purchasing and care choices. Through data collection and analysis, semiotic research and field exploration, we map its structure and monitor its transformation, helping our clients build innovative strategies and communicate them effectively.

Complex systems and fragility
Systems, services and users in real life
People operate within complex ecosystems, interacting with an increasing number of objects and actors in different, unexpected and constantly changing forms and ways. Growing complexity tests the resilience of services and the ability of the most vulnerable users to be heard and cared for.
The theme of fragility, particularly in healthcare, is at the heart of our research: studying it in the field and understanding it is essential to designing accessible, innovative and sustainable solutions.

Aware operators and patients
Relevant information for making decisions
Well-being and health are influenced by the quality of the information available and by how it is used. Information that is understandable and easy to interpret makes it possible to consciously share care and assistance approaches and strategies among doctor, pharmacist and patient.
We have developed the skills and experience needed to manage health information and design usable, easy-to-read platforms and touchpoints.
Changing behaviors
Mental models, established habits, consumption styles
People’s health depends largely on daily and automatic behaviors.
Thanks to an interdisciplinary method made up of research, analysis and prototyping, we are able to read users’ real experience, identifying problems, patterns and trends. This approach allows us to identify, case by case, the most useful solutions to anticipate users’ choices, act effectively on behaviors and improve quality of life.
